Our client a large FM business is recruiting for a Regional Development Manager to be based in the UK Nationally, to include frequent travel to Canary Wharf. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary  dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting in to the Head of Regional Development, the Regional Development Manager will be accountable for owning the business development lifecycle to win profitable new contracts with clients, but the role may also involve supporting new business in other sectors. The focus of the role is primarily on the sale of M&E contracts in the market with a annual value of £500k – £1m.

The role will support the growth of the division taking responsibility for pipeline development, customer relationship management and opportunity development up to contract signature.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Delivery of regional sales targets
  • Support organic growth and retention of current regional contracts
  • Proactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rate
  • Successfully lead bids to regional clients
  • Compliance with governance processes and ensure CRM system is up to date
  • Actively maintain a strong knowledge in industry, client, sector and competitor trends
  • Work with a variety of internal, external and sister company sources to research and analyse prospective opportunities, markets and propositions
  • Actively manage the routes to market and Identify and attend networking events
  • Engage and nurture relationships across the industry which will generate new business opportunities
  • Keep all stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the cycle
  • To ensure client insights/needs are included within our solutions
  • Identify areas where solutions are poor and propose innovation or improvements
  • Comply with all pre-bid governance processes to ensure authority to proceed
  • Ensure all stakeholders are briefed on submissions as they progress
  • Ensure support from functional parts as required e.g. Commercial
  • Lead the technical and financial submission and closure with the client
  • Lead the smooth hand over to mobilisation and operational teams
  • Leads and manages internal governance
  • Lead the development of collateral and other sales material
  • Support business wide marketing campaigns and events
  • Flexibility to support the business as needs arise

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead bid solution teams and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Confidence to talk with and influence people at all levels
